ALL THE CLASSIC APPOINTMENTS
The single cut has a long history. And it is hard to beat the vibe of those early guitars. But that is where we take our inspiration from. Of course we cover all the basics, like a mahogany body with a maple top, glued in mahogany neck and two PAF type humbuckers.
PLAYABILITY AND FEEL
All our SC-models come with a 12″ radius with 6105 fret wire. Our ’59 profile has a nice round C shape that most players will get along with. A slimmer ’60’s profile is available. We use Faber hardware and that makes a huge difference in stability. The neck is a long tenon version that is glued into the body. Together these features give you clarity and sustain.
GENTLE TIME TRAVEL TREATMENT
Our SC-models all have that well played worn in feeling. Unlike our other guitars we keep the aging on the light side, but with plenty of ‘proof” that is has been played. And we make sure that the aging is realistic and balanced.
SOUND, THINK TELE ON STEROIDS
On board you will find a set of Cream-T pickups. Over the years their collaboration with Billy Gibons has delivers some fantastic PAF voiced pickups. In our ’59 SC you will find a mixed and matched set of Cream-T pickups. We put a Eliminator in the bridge for that classic rock sound. And we pair that with a GT ’57. This is a lower wound pickup that produces a transparant humbucker sound.
